Is PODOC free?

Yes. PODOC is a free download on the App Store, and playing over local Wi-Fi is free forever — all ten built-in games and customizable presets included. Only online play with a lobby code requires a PODOC Pro subscription, sold monthly or annually through the App Store.

Which devices does PODOC work on?

PODOC is a universal app that runs on both iPhone and iPad, and requires iOS 17.6 or later. Players on iPhone and iPad can sit at the same table together.

Where can I download PODOC?

PODOC is available free on the Apple App Store. There is no Android version yet.

Do I need an internet connection to play?

Not for local play. If everyone is on the same Wi-Fi network, PODOC plays entirely over that network with nothing sent to our servers. An internet connection and PODOC Pro are only needed to play with people who aren't on your network.

Which card games are included?

War, 65, Golf, May I, Spades, Go Fish, Hearts, Euchre, Crazy Eights and Gin Rummy — with more on the way. Hands, layouts, draw and discard piles, jokers, deck count and scoring are all customizable.

Do I need an account to play PODOC?

No. There is no email, password or sign-up. You pick a nickname and a card back, and that's the whole profile. Authentication for online play uses Apple's App Attest rather than passwords.

How do I play with someone in another city?
